Bioquochem’s Proanthocyanidins PAC Assay Kit consist on the reaction of 4-dimethylaminocinnamaldehyde (DMAC) with procyanidins’ A cycle’s C8, in terminal units of proanthocyanidin. This reaction produces a green/blue colored compound that the user can measure by spectrophotometry at 640 nm. As a result, this wavelength excludes the spectra of anthocyanidins, which are a source of interference in other assays. PAC Assay Kit is an accurate, reproducible and rapid method.
