The Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances (TBARS) Assay Kit is a reliable and sensitive tool for quantifying lipid peroxidation, a key indicator of oxidative stress. It measures malondialdehyde (MDA), a major byproduct of lipid degradation, through its reaction with thiobarbituric acid (TBA), forming a colored/fluorescent adduct.

Quantitative detection of MDA in wide variety of samples: Biological or Agrifood samples.
Dual readout options: colorimetric (530–540 nm) or fluorometric (Ex 530 nm / Em 550 nm).
Ready-to-use reagents and 96-well plate format for high-throughput analysis. NOTE: Flat bottom transparent microplates for colorimetric detection is sent by default. Please, ask for black microplates for fluorescence detection.
