Henar is recognised for her expertise in cell biology and oxidative stress. She trained in the REDOX – BIOX Biology Group at the University of Oviedo, where she completed her thesis on the development of an electrochemical method to evaluate oxidative stress in patients with fibromyalgia.

In 2015 she co-founded Bioquochem SL. with the aim of making simple and precise solutions in the redox field available to the entire scientific community.
