BQC participates in the 37th European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST) Conference held in Valencia

This prestigious event brought together academics, researchers, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss and explore various topics related to food science and technology. It was an enlightening experience that allowed us to exchange knowledge, share our expertise, and contribute to the advancement of the field.

Sustainable Food and Industry 4.0: Towards the 2030 Agenda

One of the highlights of the conference was the focus on valorization of by-products. We had the privilege of listening to renowned academics who shed light on innovative ways to utilize by-products effectively. By understanding their bioactive properties and exploring their potential as novel food, feed, and ingredient sources, we can not only reduce waste but also create new ingredients that offer significant health benefits due to its antioxidant properties.

During the conference, we had the opportunity to showcase our expertise in designing the BRS Device for TAC determination. Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC) plays a crucial role in effectively utilizing materials derived from by-products. Our device enables accurate and efficient measurement of TAC, ensuring that these materials are utilized optimally. By incorporating TAC determination into these processes, we can understand the benefits offered by these materials.

Participating in the 37th edition of EFFoST in Valencia was a remarkable experience for BQC. We had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the latest advancements in food science and technology, particularly in the areas of valorization of by-products and TAC determination. It does not only broadened our knowledge but also allowed us to contribute our industry perspective to ongoing research and development efforts!
